First BONUS DAY at the market

Have you heard the latest buzz? This Saturday is the first BONUS DAY at our beloved market. What does that mean? Well, it means so many things that we're going to list them:

• FOUR raffle drawings for EPA Fresh Checks at 2:30, 2:45, 3:00 and 3:15 (anyone can win!);
• FREE Fresh Checks for Senior Citizens (just show us that you're 60+, and you'll receive $10);
• additional valuable raffle prizes from Bread of Life EPA (it's free to enter!);
• DOUBLE the amount of EPA Fresh Checks (instead of receiving $5 for paying with EBT/food stamps, WIC and/or Senior FMNP coupons, you'll get $10);
• special prizes for holders of EPA Fresh Checks (if you've got one in your wallet, or sitting at home, bring it in! You could have the winning ticket); plus
• the Master Gardeners will be on hand to provide all sorts of useful tips and information about growing your own food.

In addition, we expect to have:

• organic veggies, including broccolini, watercress, heirloom carrots (big and purple!), and lettuce;
• plus, organic peppers (serrano and bell), golden beets, and cabbage (yum, yum, yum and yum);
  
• tomatoes! (they're getting juicier and juicier);
• freshly-made hummos and other Mediterranean snacks (made right in Belmont, and perfect for appetizers);
• white peaches, nectarines, and pluots (try them!);
• strawberries (from Salinas);
• delicious apples;
• yummy honey;
• corn (the organic kind);
• watermelon;
• chayote, basil, cilantro, cucumbers, broccoli, mint, onions, greens, and other vegetables; and
• much more!

EBT/food stamps, WIC FMNP and senior FMNP checks are now accepted at the Market. Customers using these forms of payment are entitled to be treated with the very same respect and dignity that all shoppers at the East Palo Alto Community Farmers' Market deserve. For more info, please click here.
